DANIEL VICINI, President

Growing up in California, Dan has always had a love for fast-paced environments and being around upbeat, energetic people. After years in the event industry, he recognized a clear need in Las Vegas for a staffing company that consistently delivers above-and-beyond service. In 2003, he launched Dakota Events. Ever since, Dan has continued to stay hands-on in the industry, collaborating with Fortune 500 clients and shaping unforgettable experiences.

 

 


ALEXANDRA STRAWN, Director of Operations

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Alex moved to Las Vegas to earn her Bachelor’s in Meeting and Event Management. Starting as an intern for Dakota Events over 13 years ago, Alex has transitioned into the Director of Operations where she manages our entire team across North America, as well as day to-day operations. When she’s not in the office working directly with our clients or on-site facilitating a program she can be found cheering on the University of Kansas basketball team.

 

 


NANCY MARTIN, Operations Manager

Starting in the meeting and event industry with Dakota Events over 16 years ago as an intern, Nancy rejoined the team as Operations Manager in 2019.  Nancy graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Meeting and Event Management from UNLV and then worked as a Catering/Conference Service Manager for eight years at various properties in Las Vegas. Nancy’s hospitality experience and organization skills contribute to the success of Dakota Events. She manages the Road Show Department and supports internal team projects.

 


MACY SEARS, Operations Coordinator

With a background in hospitality and business operations, Macy has joined Dakota Events to support internal projects, staffing functions, and on-site management for events. Macy graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, and later relocated to Las Vegas to kickstart her career in hospitality. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and trying to recreate their dishes at home.

 


VAN MA, Office Admin

Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Van relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2005. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from UNLV and started working at Dakota Events as an Ambassador and then Lead. Van transitioned into the role of Office Administrator in 2023, where her exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail shine every day. When on-site she is known for her welcoming smile and ability to always greet staff by name. In her free time, she loves to travel, eat different cuisines and try new things.

Behind every successful event is a strategic and proactive team and our On-Site Lead Team is exactly that. With over 30 seasoned professionals based in Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego, and San Francisco, Dakota Events delivers leadership that transforms coordination into seamless execution.

Our leads are trusted mentors, training local staff and handling behind-the-scenes logistics with precision and care. With a combined 200+ years of industry experience, this team knows how to adapt, anticipate, and act to ensure your event runs flawlessly from start to finish.
